Tucker’s work in television has touched virtually every genre, from comedies like Entourage, The Office, Parks and Recreation, Weeds, Ugly Betty, Californication, Bored to Death, New Girl, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Patriot, The Good Place and The Orville, to dramas such as the multiple Emmy Award nominated Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, Homeland, Lost, Ray Donovan, House of Cards, Carnivàle, Alias, Heroes, CSI and Truth Be Told, to horror with The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Strange Angel, Bates Motel, The Sinner and his miniseries The Stand. Tucker’s newest projects include directing all episodes of the series Swimming With Sharks, starring Diane Kruger and Kiernan Shipka, as well as episodes for Amazon Prime Video’s The Terminal List, Apple TV+’s new series Surface, and the Showtime series American Gigolo, starring Jon Bernthal, a modern longform reimagining of the classic 1980 film noir.
As a commercial director, Tucker infuses the sensibilities he has cultivated in television into smart and innovative campaigns, such as his spot for Budweiser featuring Bill Pullman reprising his pop-iconic role as the President of the United States from Independence Day, or his irresistibly charming series of commercials starring real-life couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard triumphing over kid’s birthdays, holidays and dinner parties with the help of Samsung. Tucker has worked with a variety of clients that include Comcast, Toyota, Hertz, NFL, IKEA, Visa, Samsung, DraftKings, and Ford.
